Computer Science @ UPenn

Hi!

LinkedIn

I'm a sophomore at UPenn striving to change the world through the intersection of business strategy, finance, and tech.

I love designing solutions that truly resonate with people and working collaboratively to bring them to life. Learning technology in college gave me an unbounded canvas; I'm excited to explore the possibilities.

Some of my favorite pastimes are learning a little about everything, singing and arranging music with my a capella group, playing amateur guitar, all kinds of seafood, and taking odd pictures.

Let's connect! I'd love to hear more about you.

Better-Spelling-Bee

Full Stack & Game Dev | Summer 2024
  1. React
  2. Typescript
  3. Python
  4. Django
  5. PostgreSQL

My friend and I remade our favorite mobile game (NYT Spelling Bee!), focusing on enhancing user engagement through dynamic interactions and personalized features. Design Challenges: - Developed a minimal and responsive web interface, ensuring ease of use while incorporating subtle animations to give the screen life. - Created a customizable duck avatar and letter block, designed to attract user interaction through playful, tangible draggable objects. Development Challenges: - Efficient algorithm to source a dictionary subset from 7 letters, including a pangram, by processing and sorting a large dictionary (46,444 words) and indexing it by letter + creating a separate source of pangrams to pull the letters from. - Drag-and-drop functionality for the duck graphics, ensuring they could be seamlessly cloned/dragged onto words and reordered dynamically using painstaking CSS details and npm packages. - Complex game and user data states, appropriate caching to maintain performance across gameplay sessions. - JWT token management for secure user authentication and session persistence. Next Steps: - Deploy site - Recover some animations gone MIA after restructuring app (ducks in pond randomly flapping, fly and sink animations upon entering word).
